The candidates who aim at taking up the degree courses should be by character and aptitude capable of profiting themselves from the instructions at the University.
The main objectives of these courses is to provide the students with a thorough grasp of the fundamentals on which the modern engineering sciences are based.Theoretical instructions are supplemented with relevant experimental work in labortories.Comprehensive instructional programmes are designed to stress the rational and analytical approach to Engineering problems. They prepare young Professional Engineer, who may to choose to work in the field or undertake advanced studies and research.
The students who comply
with the conditions prescribed by the University
and successfully complete their courses
and pass the required University Examinations
will be awarded by the University, the Degree
of B.S in Electronic Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil
Engineering, or Computer Science as the
case may be.

| Admission
Criteria |
Admission will be granted
to First Semester Class of Bachelor's Degree
Programme in Electronic Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Civil
Engineering and Computer Science Departments.
The admission will be offered on the basis
of Academic Record, Admission Test and Interview
to be conducted by the University.

| Qualification for
Engineering |
The minimum academic
qualification is HSC/Intermediate (Pre-Engineering
with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)
or equivalent (to be decided by SSUET) with
fifty five percent aggregate marks (Including
20 marks for
the Hafiz-e-Quran).

Qualification
for Computer Science |
For BS in Computer Science
the minimum academic qualification is HSC/Intermediate
(Pre Engineering) with Physics, Chemistry
and Mathematics OR Physics, Computer Science
and Mathematics or equivalent (to be decided
by SSUET) with fifty five percent aggregate
marks (including 20 marks for Hafiz-e-Quran) OR DAE Electronics,
Computer, Electrical or Mechanical with
sixty percent aggregate marks.
"According to S.R.O.474
(1)/2003 dated. Islamabad, the 6th June,
2003 the students with a combination of
Physics, Mathematics and Computer Studies
/ Computer Science maybe allowed for admissions
in All Computer Related Engineering Programs."
Hence Students with this
combination securing atleast 55% marks in
Inter Science / F.Sc may apply for admission
in Computer Engineering at SSUET.

of Seats |
Keeping in view the
"Aligarh Spirit" the admission are open
to all purely on merit basis irrespective
of cast, creed, colour, culture, religion,
sex, domicile or nationality. The number
of seats available under the four disciplines
for admissions to the First Semester for
the Academic Session 2007 are as under:

Note:
The candidate will have to
indicate their choice of discipline in order
of preference on the Application Form. (Form1).
Admission in each discipline
will be offered to candidates in order of
merit and order of preference of discipline
indicated by the candidates.
The number of Seats may
vary upto 10% of the total number of Seats.
2 seats are reserved for diploma holders of relevant technology in all the disciplines.

Equivalence
Criteria of Foreign Examinations
|
For the purpose of determining
merit, the candidates having passed Cambridge
High School Certificate Examination with
Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Principal
level or the General Certificate of Education
(A Level) with Mathematics, Physics and
Chemistry, the grades obtained in these
examinations will be equated as follows:

| Medical Fitness |
Every candidate selected
for admission will have to produce a certificate
of Medical Fitness on prescribed form (Form
II) from a Registered Medical Practitioner.

| Rejection of Application |
The Vice Chancellor
can reject any application or cancel/withdraw
any admission of a student without assigning
any reason.
|
Tie for Merit Position
|
In case of tie merit
position for admission the aggregate percentage
of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
(or Computer Science for B.S) at HSC (Intermediate)/Equivalent
Examination will be made the criterion.
In case of further tie the percentage of
marks in Mathematics in above examination
shall be made the criterion.

| Hafiz-e-Quran |
Addition of 20 marks
will be allowed to Hafiz-e-Quran on the
pattern of NCC on production of a Certificate
from a recognized institution.
|
| Employment / Simultaneous Enrolment |
The programme leading
to B.S. Degree is regular full time day
programme and no student admitted in this
University shall be allowed to engage himself
in employment or maintain simultaneous enrolment
in any other courses of studies in other
Educational Institutions. Violation of above
may lead to cancellation of admission.
