Systems Research & Development
for Engineers and Computer Science Graduates
Promising employment opportunities are available
for competent, energetic and enthusiastic Engineers and Computer
Science graduates to work on cutting edge VLSI & Embedded Systems
Research projects.
The employer is a promising startup company based in Silicon Valley,
California, founded by a highly experienced and respected research
scientist. The positions are based at their local research laboratory,
established in Karachi, Pakistan. The following positions are available:
Software Engineers (2
positions):
Engineers would be responsible for application development targeting
the latest portable computing platforms – specifically the
Apple Iphone and Google’s Android Mobile platforms!
- Must have at least a 4 year bachelor’s
degree (B.Eng, or B.S.) from a reputable institution in Electrical
&/or Computer Engineering or Computer Science. OR, at least
must be about to complete their degree.
- Must have experience with object oriented programming
in C++ or Object C.
- Strong academic history (i.e. Good GPA) and
practical experience (e.g. strong class project work).
- Candidates who have familiarity/experience
with multimedia or compression codecs will be given preference
(demonstrated through course or final-year project work).
- Candidate must have strong interest in, and
demonstrate enthusiasm for a career in cutting edge R&D work
in the areas of Applications Development for Multimedia Embedded
Systems.
Embedded Systems Engineers
(3-4 positions):
Engineers would be responsible for development of hardware systems
and solutions targeting the Embedded Multimedia Systems Domain.
- Must have at least a 4 year bachelor’s
degree (B.Eng, or B.S.) from a reputable institution in Electrical
&/or Computer Engineering or Computer Science. OR, at least
must be about to complete their degree.
- Must have experience with Hardware Description
Languages - preferably Verilog - as well as programming in C language.
- Strong academic history (i.e. Good GPA) and
practical experience (e.g. strong class project work).
- Candidates who have familiarity/experience
with multimedia or compression codecs will be given preference
(demonstrated through course or final-year project work).
- Candidate must have strong interest in,
and demonstrate enthusiasm for a career in cutting edge R&D
work in the areas of VLSI and Embedded Systems.
