Major Adeel Shahid listed his name in the galaxy of Shaheeds – Chancellor Jawaid Anwar
Glowing tribute was paid to the Shaheed Major Adeel Shahid at the closing ceremony of the inter-collegiate Tug of War Tournament, held by the Sports Department of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology at the campus on Friday, September 27, 2019. Major Adeel Shahid got shahadat at the Pak-Afghan border.
Syed Shahid Hussain Zaidi, the father of Shaheed Major Adeel Shahid, was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the Inter-Collegiate Tug of War tournament in which around 24 colleges and 250 students took part.
Addressing the ceremony, Syed Shahid Hussain said, “If I had 100 kids, I would have sacrificed all of them for the country. My morale is high for the nation. My son, Shaheed Major Adeel always wished to get shahadat, and Allah granted his wish. Respect army and support army.”
Mr. Jawaid Anwar, Chancellor SSUET, in his presidential address said that Shaheed Major Adeel Shahid listed his name in the galaxy of shaheeds. He was an expert in drone technology.
On an auspicious occasion, Chancellor Jawaid Anwar announced holding a competition on Drone Technology in the coming days.
