Karachi, January 22-23, 2025– Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) proudly participated in the prestigious 4th Sindh Research and Technology Showcase 2025, organized by the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) and held at the Expo Center Karachi. This two-day event brought together leading public and private universities from across Sindh, offering a dynamic platform for students to present their innovative technological projects and research endeavors.
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Rabia Noor Enam, Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), and Ms. Huma Anwar Ahmed, Manager ORIC, SSUET’s talented students showcased a diverse array of cutting-edge projects. These projects highlighted the university’s steadfast commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and excellence in the fields of engineering and technology.
The event was inaugurated on January 22nd at 11 AM, with a ceremony graced by distinguished guests, including Prof. Dr. S.M. Tariq Rafi, Chairperson of Sindh HEC; Mr. Moin Uddin Siddiqui, Secretary Sindh HEC; Mr. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, Senior Vice President of FPCCI; and Mr. Arie Poluzzi, Socio-Cultural Affairs representative from the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, Karachi.
The showcase was a hub of energy and innovation, with over 600 students, 200+ industrialists, and entrepreneurs actively participating. SSUET’s stall attracted significant attention, with visitors including HEC Sindh officials, Registrar-SSUET, Director ORIC-SSUET the Dean of the Civil Engineering and Architecture Department and esteemed faculty members. They lauded the students for their creativity, technical expertise, and dedication to solving real-world challenges through their projects.
On the second day, the university’s Registrar and faculty members also visited the event, further appreciating the students’ efforts and the university’s commitment to academic and technological excellence.
SSUET extends its heartfelt congratulations to its students of 20+ projects who participated including faculty, and the entire team for their hard work and dedication in representing the university at this esteemed platform. Their achievements continue to bring pride to SSUET, reinforcing its mission to nurture innovation and contribute to the advancement of technology and engineering in Pakistan.
