KARACHI, August 3, 2022 – Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) received the Brand of the Year Award in a ceremony organized by the Brands Foundation. Sir Syed University is the first university who got this prestigious award in recognition of its excellence in the academic sector. The General Secretary Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association (AMUOBA), Engr. Muhammad Arshad Khan, Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Dr. Muhammad Aamir also attended the event. Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali received the award on behalf of the university.

It is certainly a distinctive honor for a brand recognized as a champion or best of the best in its industry category based on current year market standing measured by consumer preference & expert analysis.
Commenting on this great success, Chancellor SSUET, Jawaid Anwar, said that the University has achieved tremendous progress in multiple directions like academics, research, knowledge areas, and co-curricular activities. Sir Syed University was an active partner in National Ideas Bank (NIB) and took part as National Host in the national-level program.
He pointed out, “We are fully aware that the world is moving at a fast pace. To match ever-growing professional demand, SSUET keeps abreast with innovation, creativity, and wisdom. Sir Syed University imparts quality education to the young generation and contributes to national and international development. Research activities are encouraged in the university and students are groomed in a way to face the challenges of practical life. We have started MS and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines of engineering and sciences. Sir Syed University offers quality education and modern laboratories laced with state-of-the-art equipment to the students. SSUET has developed a meaningful interaction with the industry for creating opportunities for employment for our students. Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali said that Sir Syed University has always strived to be progressive, adapting to advances in science, engineering, and technology, as well as business management. Sir Syed University was selected by HEC to be part of its Higher Education Data Repository – Piloting Phase Project. Out of more than 200 universities in Pakistan, 13 universities were selected for piloting the project, sponsored by the World Bank.
