Zakir Ali Khan’s panel won the AMUOBA elections with a landslide victory.
The newly elected President of the Association, Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan, took over as the Chancellor of Sir Syed University.
Chancellor Akbar Ali Khan presided over the first meeting of the Executive Committee.
Adil Askari, Muhammad Yamin and Atif Nazar elected as Vice-presidents, while Jafar Nazir Usmani declared the winner for the post of General Secretary.
KARACHI, February 27, 2025 – The Zakir Ali Khan panel won the elections of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association (AMUOBA) with a landslide victory, and the newly elected President of the Association, Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan, has taken over as the Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology. Adil Askari, Muhammad Yamin, and Atif Nazar were elected as Vice Presidents, while Jafar Nazir Usmani was declared the winner for the post of General Secretary. Chancellor Akbar Ali Khan presided over the first meeting of the Executive Meeting to take immediate measures for the growth and prosperity of the university.
Addressing the faculty and staff members at the introductory ceremony, the new Chancellor of Sir Syed University…, said that we should put the shortcomings of the past behind us and focus on moving forward. A hand on the shoulder in bad times is more valuable than a hand clapping on success. It is your responsibility to take yourself to where you want to reach. This victory is the result of our courage and patience. Only those people achieve success who defeat the fear of failure. Time itself is not visible, but it shows and makes you learn many things. I am here before you as the newly elected Chancellor with a deep sense of responsibility. This victory is not mine alone, but that of every member who cast his vote. We have many challenges to face that will test our resolve and passion, but your unwavering support will continue to strengthen my resolve and determination to serve you, be your voice, and build a better future. Only a joint effort can lead us to progress and success. Together, we will do our best to address the issues that come our way. Institutions must be strong, not individuals. There must be transparency in our vision and actions because the story of your life will be written by your actions.
On this occasion, the newly elected General Secretary of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association (AMUOBA) said that no stone would be left unturned for the development and success of AMUOBA and its affiliated institutions. In pursuit of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s vision, we are committed to improving the organizations according to the global demands with our hard work, dedication, and complete honesty. We ensure that progress is made in every department and section, developing stable financial conditions. I invite the entire Alig community to join and create a new history together.
Expressing his views on this occasion, Vice President… said that focusing on the growth of organizations, we give priority to institutions over personalities. We will try to achieve the target results within the given time frame. Today, the late Z.A. Nizami and the late Muhammad Zakir Ali Khan will surely be happy that such people have been elected who respect and value the elders.
Expressing his views on this occasion, the newly elected Vice President of AMUOBA, Adil Askari, said that taking the institutions to new heights of growth and development is our top priority. There will be no compromise on the principles. The manifesto will be strictly followed. Today, the late ZA Nizami and the late Muhammad Zakir Ali Khan will surely be happy that such people have been elected who respect and value the elders.
Earlier, faculty and staff members warmly welcomed the new Chancellor and assured him of his full cooperation, saying that he would be with him at every step for the development and improvement of the university and the fulfillment of its mission. Registrar Cdre. (r) Syed Sarfaraz Ali also welcomed the new Chancellor and hoped that under the vision of the newly elected Chancellor, the university would grow to tremendous heights for sure.

کراچی، 27/فروری 2025ء: علیگڑھ مسلم یونیورسٹی اولڈ بوائز ایسوسی ایشن (اموبا) کے نو منتخب صدر محمد اکبر علی خان نے سرسید یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی کے چانسلر کا عہدہ سنبھال لیا۔ اموبا کے انتخابات میں ذاکر علی خان پینل نے بھاری اکثریت سے کامیابی حاصل کرلی۔ عادل عسکری، عاطف نذر، محمد یامین نائب صدر منتخب، جبکہ جعفر نذیر عثمانی جنرل سیکریٹری کے عہدے کے لئے فاتح قرار دے دئے گئے۔سرسید یونیورسٹی کے چانسلر اکبر علی خان کی صدارت میں ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی کا پہلا اجلاس کا انعقاد ہوا جس میں آئندہ کے لائحہ عمل کے بارے میں ضروری فیصلے کئے گئے۔۔
سرسید یونیورسٹی کے نئے چانسلرمحمد اکبر علی خان نے تعارفی تقریب میں فیکلٹی اور اسٹاف ممبرز سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ہمیں ماضی کی کوتاہیوں کو پسِ پشت ڈال کر آگے بڑھنے پر اپنی توجہ مرکوز کرنی چاہیئے۔۔برے وقت میں کندھے پر رکھا گیا ہاتھ کامیابی پر بجنے والی تالیوں سے زیادہ قیمتی ہوتا ہے۔جہاں آپ پہنچنا چاہتے ہیں وہاں تک خود کو لے کر جانا آپ کی ذمہ داری ہے۔یہ فتح ہماری ہمت اور تحمل کا ثمر ہے۔کامیاب وہی ہوتا ہے جو ہار کے خوف کو شکست دیتا ہے۔وقت نظر نہیں آتا لیکن سکھا کر اور دکھا کر بہت کچھ جاتا ہے۔کائنات کی سب سے مہنگی چیز احساس ہے جو دنیا کے ہر انسان میں نہیں ہوتی۔۔میں ذمہ داری کے گہرے احساس کے ساتھ نو منتخب چانسلر کی حیثیت سے آپ کے سامنے موجود ہوں۔ یہ جیت میری اکیلے کی نہیں، ہر اس ممبر کی ہے جس نے اپنا ووٹ کاسٹ کیا۔۔ہمیں بہت سے چیلنجوں کا سامنا کرنا ہے جو ہمارے عزم اور جذبے کو آزمائیں گے، لیکن آپ کی غیر متزلزل حمایت مجھے آپ کی خدمت کرنے، آپ کی آواز بننے اور ایک بہتر مستقبل کی تعمیر کے لیے میرے عزم اور پختہ ارادے کو تقویت بخشتی رہے گی۔ایک مشترکہ کوشش ہی ہمیں ترقی و کامیابی کی طرف لے جاسکتی ہے۔ ہم مل کر ان اہم مسائل کو حل کرنے کی پوری کوشش کریں گے۔شخصیات کو نہیں، اداروں کو مضبوط ہونا چاہئے۔ہمارے نظریات اور اقدامات میں شفافیت ہونی چاہیئے کیونکہ آپ کی زندگی کی داستان آپ کے اقدامات سے لکھی جائے گی۔۔
اس موقع پرعلیگڑھ مسلم یونیورسٹی اولڈ بوائز ایسوسی ایشن (اموبا) کے نو منتخب جنرل سیکریٹری جعفر نذیر عثمانی نے کہا کہ اموبا اور اس سے منسلک اداروں کی ترقی اور کامیابی کے لیے کوئی دققیہ فروگزاشت نہیں کیا جائے گا۔۔ہم سرسید احمد خان کے وژن پر چلنے والے لوگ ہیں اوراپنی محنت، لگن اور پوری ایمانداری کے ساتھ اداروں کی کارکردگی کو عالمی معیار کے مطابق بہتر سے بہتر بنانے کے پختہ عزم پر کاربند ہیں۔ہم اس بات کو یقینی بنائیں گے کہ ہرشعبے میں پیش رفت ہواور ایک مستحکم مالی صورتحال قائم ہو۔میں تمام علیگ برادری سے گزارش کرتا ہوں کہ آئیے ہم سب مل کر ایک نئی تاریخ رقم کریں۔
اس موقع پراموبا کے نومنتخب نائب صدر عادل عسکری نے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا اداروں کو آگے لے کر جانا ہماری اولین ترجیح ہے۔۔اصولوں پر کوئی سمجھوتہ نہیں ہوگا۔ منشور پر سختی سے عمل کیا جائے گا۔۔آج زیڈ اے نظامی مرحوم اور محمد ذاکر علی خان مرحوم ضرور خوش ہوں گے کہ ایسے لوگ منتخب ہوکر آئے ہیں جو بزرگوں کی عزت و قدر کرتے ہیں۔
قبل ازیں فیکلٹی اور اسٹاف ممبرز نے نئے چانسلر کا گرمجوشی سے استقبال کیا اور انھیں اپنے بھرپور تعاون کی یقین دہانی کراتے ہوئے کہا کہ یونیورسٹی کی ترقی وبہتری اور مشن کی تکمیل کے لیے وہ ہرقدم پر ان کے ساتھ ہوں گے۔رجسٹرار کموڈور (ر) سیدسرفراز علی نے بھی نئے چانسلرکا خیرمقدم کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ نومنتخب چانسلر صاحب کی مقبولیت اور ان کے وژن کے پیشِ نظر یہ بات یقین سے کہی جاسکتی ہے کہ یونیورسٹی ترقی کے نئے منازل طے کرے گی۔ اس موقع پر سنیئر علیگرین کے علاوہ نائب صدور عادل عسکری، محمد یامین، عاطف نذر، اعزازی خازن محمد محسن خان، جوائنٹ سیکریٹری اعزازی، سید محسن کاظم، جوائنٹ سیکریڑی اسپورٹس، واصف نذر صدیقی، جوائنٹ سیکریٹری پبلسٹی، سید انعام الرحیم، جوائنٹ سیکریٹری اکیڈمک، عدنان ظہور و ایگزیکیٹو کمیٹی کے ممبرز بھی موجود تھے۔
