Biography

Dr. Rukaiya is currently an Assistant Professor in the Computer Engineering Department at Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology. She also works to build links between academia and industry as Team Lead of FYP-Industry Liaison to encourage the development of industry-based projects, educate students on industry needs and the latest technologies in use. She received her PhD in Computer Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Islamabad in 2022 under HEC Indigenous Scholarship. She completed her Masters and BS in Computer Engineering from Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. She has experience in developing MAC protocols, network endurance improvement schemes for mission critical networks. Her research interests also include data protection mechanisms for the Internet of Things, network security and fuzzy logic. She has several high impact factor publications and is working on multiple funded projects including HEC Grant Challenge Fund (GCF) in collaboration with NUST and NESCOM.
