Biography

Dr. Muhammad Tahir Fattani has held the position of Professor in the Department of Software Engineering at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. Renowned for his scholarly contributions, he has authored and presented research papers at numerous national and international forums. Dr. Fattani’s commitment to advancing knowledge is further evident through his leadership in various funded research and capacity-building projects, collaborating with institutions such as the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Federal Government, NAVTTC, and Ignite National Technology Fund.

With over 17 years of teaching experience at diverse educational levels, Dr. Fattani has assumed multiple leadership roles. Notably, he serves as the Project Director of the Prime Minister Youth Skill Development Program (Skill for All) and holds the position of Coordinator of Pakistan Engineering Bodies at the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). His influence extends to program evaluation roles at NAVTTC and the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), as well as serving as a reviewer for funded projects at HEC and Ignite National Technology Fund.

Dr. Fattani earned his PhD in Information Science from the University of Roma Tor Vergata and a Master’s Degree in computer systems from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. His diverse research interests span IP Switches/Routing, VR/AR, Blockchain, IPv4 Protocol, Firewall, IoT, Security Cryptography, and Wireless Networks, reflecting his dedication to staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
