Engr. Nageen Shahid currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. She holds a lifetime PEC membership as a registered biomedical engineer. She acquired a teaching position as a Junior Lecturer in the undergrad program of biomedical engineering department, SSUET in 2009 after securing 2nd position in BS Biomedical Engineering, Batch 2005. Her teaching tenure is a successful combination of studies, research, teaching, mentoring and administrative tasks.
Alongside teaching several core and specialization courses like Basic Electrical Engineering, Basic Electronics, Circuit Analysis, Biomedical Electronics, Computer Aided Engineering Design, Biomedical Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering Systems and Robotics in BME, she has supervised various final year projects related to the domains of Bioinstrumentation and telemedicine with applications for the healthcare industry. Research publications related to the areas of interest mentioned above are also under her belt.
She has been serving at key positions of responsibility in the department which includes Class Advisor, Lab In-charge, Female Sports Coordinator, Member of DCQIC, DOBEC, Seminar and Newsletter Committees, and Student Advisor of IEEE WIE SSUET Student Branch. In current scenario of hybrid learning and student centered teaching, she has groomed herself as an academician who is adept at providing effective online lectures, with the use of innovative teaching tools to create engaging learning environment for students to achieve academic and personal excellence.
